Hot Fruited Tea

very hard recipe to remember. julie's mom gets a call at least once a month for the recipe. yes, we have written it down but it always seems to disappear, especially when it's left at my house.  the recipe is good to have but that's not our only problem.  ingredients!!! it helps to have everything. we NEVER have everything.  that's why we have dade. he's our errand boy. our ingredient getter.

hot fruited tea

4 oranges
3 lemons
2 1/2 cups of pineapple juice
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1 1/2 cups of water
2 cinnamon sticks
9 cups of water
2 family size tea bags

bring to boil the sugar, 1 1/2 cups of water, and cinnamon sticks boil for 5 minutes. squeeze the juice from the oranges and lemons in a separate bowl (can be hand done or by juicer-these aren't found in our neck of the woods). boil 9 cups of water and tea bags in a large pot. (should be big enough to hold all ingredients). add pineapple juice to tea along with the juice from the fruit and sugar/water/cinnamon stick mixture. stir and leave heated on stove top. serve hot and enjoy!
